The Art of Negotiation Workshop
Truly brain storming
It is never too late to become a good negotiator.
Mastering the art of negotiation and handling difficult behaviours is essential for a happy and productive work life. Successful negotiation requires adequate advance planning, preparation and patience. The most important step is to remove emotion from the process of negotiation; this requires separating people from the problem. Knowing the "Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement" (BANTA) is an important step towards protecting ourself from getting into an agreement that we will regret later on. Patience, compassion and active listening help in dealing with difficult behaviours, but setting boundaries, and showing the way you wish to be respected is important.
